XPS Insulation Boards

Element shop supply XPS insulation boards in a range of sizes and thicknesses for a variety of underfloor heating projects. This includes 6mm, 10mm and 20mm thicknesses.

XPS Insulation Boards are specifically designed for use with our electric foil underfloor heating systems on timber & concrete floors. XPS Insulation or Extruded polystyrene insulation which it is also known as, is manufactured through an extrusion process. This process involves melting together the plastic resin with the other ingredients. The liquid formed is then continuously extruded through a die and expands during the cooling process. This then produces a closed cell rigid insulation.

Our range

We supply these in various thicknesses depending on your project application. These are available in 6mm, 10mm and 20mm thicknesses. As previously mentioned, they have been designed for use with our electric foil underfloor heating. This means that they are suitable for use with wooden flooring and laminate flooring. They are not suitable for under tile heating.

They offer high compressive strength keeping your floor strong, sturdy, and insulated with its excellent thermal performance. It has a low moisture absorbance and a fire classification or Euroclass E. This ensure that you insulation is safe and won’t retain moisture which could lead to mould issues.
