One of the questions that is most often asked when it comes to underfloor heating is how much will it cost? Is it expensive to run? Unfortunately, there is no simple answer to this as it depends on a number of factors such as:

• The wattage you are using
• The size of the room
• The length of time the heating is on
• The temperature of the thermostat

To give you an example, a room that is using 10metres of underfloor heating that is 100w per metre, will use 1kW per hour at full power. Whatever your energy company charge you per kW of energy used is then how much you would pay to use that setup for an hour on full power.
